Minor Hospitalized After Altercation on Pushkin Street in Yerevan
Yerevan, March 4 – A serious incident took place in Yerevan on February 28, 2026. At approximately 05:10 AM, the Central Department of the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia received an operational report about an altercation at 43 Pushkin Street, where a citizen was found lying on the ground.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, a patrol group from the Central Police Department, led by a senior inspector, immediately responded to the scene. Upon arrival, police arrested 27-year-old Hrayr Kh. and 29-year-old Hamlet Kh., both residents of Yerevan, on suspicion of hooliganism. They were subsequently transported to the Central Police Department.
Minor Sustains Fractured Jaw
A 17-year-old minor, N. A., was transported by ambulance to the 1st University Hospital with a diagnosis of “fracture of the body of the lower jaw and chin with displacement.”
In addition to the arrests and hospitalization, two vehicles, a “Chevrolet” and a “Tesla,” were found near the specified address with broken windshields. These vehicles were impounded and taken to a specially protected area at the Central Police Department.
Investigation Underway
Documents regarding the incident have been compiled by the Central Police Department and transferred to the Kentron and Nork Marash administrative districts investigation department of the Yerevan City Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
According to G. Shamshyan’s information, Hrayr and Hamlet Kh. are brothers.
The investigation is ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the altercation and the extent of the damage to the vehicles.
