Temperature Fluctuations Expected in Armenia, Yerevan to See +12°C

YEREVAN, March 6. /Novosti-Armenia/. Armenia is preparing for a period of fluctuating temperatures, with varying precipitation expected across the country from March 6 to March 10. According to the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center of the Republic of Armenia, Yerevan will experience mostly dry weather on March 6, 9, and 10.

However, on March 7-8, short-term precipitation is expected. During the night, this will manifest as snow, transitioning to mixed rain and rain during the daytime hours. Across the broader territory of Armenia, precipitation is anticipated in separate regions on the evening of March 6, during the day on March 8, and on March 9. On the night of March 7 and 8, a significant portion of regions will also see precipitation.

Regional Weather Outlook

Mountainous and foothill regions are expected to receive snow, while valley regions will experience mixed rain and rain. Furthermore, mountainous areas should prepare for blizzards and low horizontal visibility, posing challenges for travel and outdoor activities.

Wind and Temperature Trends

The wind will be from the northwest at 2-5 m/s, with gusts of 13-16 m/s expected in some regions on March 6. Temperatures will gradually decrease by 2-5 degrees Celsius during the daytime on March 7-8. Conversely, daytime temperatures on March 9-10 are expected to rise by the same margin, indicating a short-lived cold spell followed by a return to milder conditions.

The evening of March 6 and the entirety of March 10 are predicted to be without precipitation, offering some respite from the wet weather. Residents are advised to stay updated with the latest forecasts and take necessary precautions, especially those planning to travel through mountainous areas.

This weather pattern is part of a broader cyclonic influence entering Armenia from the Black Sea, which is responsible for the anticipated drop in temperatures and increased precipitation. The Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center continues to monitor the situation and will provide further updates as needed.
