Yerevan patrol officers apprehended a driver on January 4, at approximately 10:40 PM, on Tamantsiner Street. The incident unfolded when an Opel vehicle was stopped for inspection, revealing that the 44-year-old driver was in an intoxicated state.
Forged Documents Presented to Officers
During the inspection, the driver presented a forged driver’s license. Furthermore, the man claimed to be an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ rescue service and subsequently produced a fake service identification card to corroborate his false claim.
Investigation Underway
The 44-year-old driver was arrested on reasonable suspicion of using forged documents and was transported to the Shengavit Department of the Community Police. The Opel vehicle was impounded and moved to a special storage area. Both the individual and the compiled documentation have been handed over to the investigative department for further proceedings.
