Fire Breaks Out at Tire Repair Shop on Tichina Street in Yerevan
Yerevan, January 18 – A fire was reported at a tire repair shop on Tichina Street in Yerevan yesterday, January 17. The National Crisis Management Center received an alarm at 10:32 AM, prompting an immediate response from emergency services.
Two fire brigades from the Yerevan City Rescue Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Rescue Service were dispatched to the incident scene. Upon arrival, firefighters worked to contain the blaze, which had engulfed the 16-square-meter tire repair shop and approximately 20 square meters of wooden structures and tire equipment.
Rapid Response and Containment
The fire was successfully isolated by 10:50 AM, demonstrating the efficiency and swift action of the firefighting teams. The complete extinguishment of the fire was achieved at 11:31 AM, preventing further spread and potential damage to surrounding areas.
Following the extinguishment, rescue workers carried out demolition operations at the site. No casualties or injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
