On June 10, 2026, at approximately 7:40 PM, a major road accident took place in the Armavir region, near Hatzik village. The collision involved a Dodge and two Mercedes-Benz vehicles on the Armavir-Baghramyan highway, close to the “Park of Letters” landmark.
Five People Injured in Hatzik Collision
As a result of the crash, five individuals sustained injuries. Citizens and promptly arriving medical teams from “Armavir” Medical Center provided immediate first aid at the scene before transporting the injured to the hospital. Two of the injured are reported to be in critical condition, one in moderately severe condition, and two in stable but serious condition.
Emergency Response and Investigation Underway
Patrol officers from the 2nd company of the Armavir region battalion of the Police Patrol Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, led by battalion commander Vanik Sagoyan and senior service inspector Artur Khachatryan, quickly arrived at the scene. They secured the area and notified the Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia. An investigative team, headed by the on-duty investigator, launched a criminal proceeding to determine the identities of the vehicle owners, drivers, and the injured.
According to the investigator’s instructions, the damaged vehicles have been impounded at a special protected area of the Armavir police department. The collision caused the Dodge and one of the Mercedes cars to veer off the roadway and into a field.
