YEREVAN, May 1 – French President Emmanuel Macron will arrive in Armenia for a three-day visit from May 3-5, 2026, as announced by the Armenian government. The visit will encompass participation in the European Political Community Summit in Yerevan and a subsequent state visit.
European Political Community Summit in Yerevan
President Macron’s itinerary begins with his participation in the European Political Community Summit, which will be held in Yerevan. This summit is expected to bring together leaders from across Europe to discuss pressing regional and international issues.
State Visit to Armenia
Following the summit, President Macron will commence his state visit to Armenia on May 5. A key component of this visit will be a private meeting between President Macron and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. This will be followed by an expanded meeting involving officials from both nations, underscoring the deepening bilateral ties.
After their discussions, Prime Minister Pashinyan and President Macron are slated to issue statements to the media, likely addressing the outcomes of their meetings and future cooperation initiatives. The French President will also pay tribute to the victims of the Armenian Genocide at the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex and visit the Matenadaran, a repository of ancient manuscripts.
