YEREVAN, March 24 – A pregnant woman has died in one of Yerevan’s maternity hospitals. During childbirth, the pregnant woman’s condition sharply deteriorated, leading to loss of consciousness, as reported by the Ministry of Health to “Novosti Armenia.”
Medical Team’s Efforts and Transfer to Intensive Care
“The medical team took all possible measures, and an emergency caesarean section was performed. Through the efforts of the medical team and the Ministry of Health, the pregnant woman was immediately transferred to a Level 3 resuscitation department. Unfortunately, the pregnant woman’s life could not be saved,” the Ministry of Health’s statement noted.
The Ministry also stated that the baby’s health condition is currently stable but critical. A forensic medical examination has been ordered to determine the exact cause of death.
