Gyumri, January 9 – A university lecturer was hospitalized with stab wounds after an altercation in Gyumri, Shirak Province, on January 2nd. The incident occurred around 8:00 PM near 20 Knunyants Street. Law enforcement agencies have identified a suspect and are actively searching for those involved.

An ambulance team transported a citizen from Knunyants Street to the “Gyumri” Medical Center with a diagnosis of “cut, punctured, bleeding wounds of the left half of the chest.”
Law enforcement officials determined that the injured individual sustained the wounds during an altercation with unknown persons around 8:00 PM on the same day. The victim was reportedly stabbed multiple times during the dispute.
Victim Identified as University Lecturer

Authorities have identified a 24-year-old resident of Shirak Province, Smbat D., as the individual who allegedly stabbed Armen T. during the altercation on January 2nd. Measures are currently being taken to locate Smbat D., other participants in the fight, and the weapon used in the crime.
Documents related to the incident have been compiled by the Mush police department and transferred to the Shirak Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, where a criminal proceeding has been initiated.
