The victims were identified as 40-year-old Edgar Z. and 42-year-old Armen Y., both residents of Yerevan. Edgar Z. was diagnosed with a “cut wound to the left chin area,” while Armen Y. sustained a “cut wound to the left flank area.”
Initial investigations by Malatia community police officers revealed that the injuries were sustained during an altercation with an unidentified individual in the Haghthanak district. Subsequent operational-investigative measures led to the identification of the alleged assailant as 34-year-old Harut A., a resident of Yerevan. It was determined that Harut A. inflicted the injuries with a knife-like object during a dispute that arose over the parking of a car.
Investigation and Legal Proceedings
Following the incident, documentation was compiled by the Malatia Department of the Police and forwarded to the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district investigative department of the Yerevan City Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia. The alleged assailant, Harut A., was subsequently arrested and later remanded into custody.
