Yerevan, March 27, 2026 – Wizz Air, a prominent European low-cost airline, has announced a significant expansion of its operations in Armenia, including the launch of two new direct flight routes from Yerevan to Brussels and Eindhoven. This development follows a working meeting between David Khudatyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, and Ian Malini, Chief Commercial Officer of Wizz Air.
Third Aircraft to be Based at Zvartnots Airport
During the meeting, it was confirmed that Wizz Air will base its third aircraft at Yerevan’s Zvartnots Airport, signaling a stronger commitment to the Armenian market. This strategic move will enable the airline to increase its flight offerings and enhance connectivity for Armenian travelers.
New Routes and Increased Frequencies
The new flight routes are scheduled to commence as follows:
- Yerevan – Eindhoven (Netherlands): Starting October 26, 2026, with three weekly flights (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays). Ticket prices will start from 56 Euros.
- Yerevan – Brussels (Belgium): Starting February 1, 2027, with three weekly flights (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays). Ticket prices will start from 37 Euros.
In addition to the new destinations, Wizz Air is also increasing the frequency of its existing routes:

These changes will result in Wizz Air operating flights to a total of 18 destinations across 10 countries from Armenia.
Impact on Armenian Connectivity
The expansion is expected to significantly boost Armenia’s air connectivity, offering more travel options for both business and leisure travelers. The introduction of direct flights to key European cities like Brussels, the de facto capital of the European Union, and Eindhoven, a major technology hub in the Netherlands, will facilitate stronger economic and cultural ties.
The increased flight frequencies on existing routes will also provide greater flexibility and convenience for passengers, making air travel more accessible and affordable.

Wizz Air has been steadily growing its presence in Armenia, recognizing the country’s potential as a burgeoning travel market. The airline’s strategy of offering low-cost travel options has resonated with Armenian consumers, contributing to the development of the local tourism sector.
