Yerevan to Host Cultural Events Honoring Stas Namin’s 75th Birthday
Yerevan, Armenia – From May 3 to May 11, 2026, the city of Yerevan will be the vibrant host of a series of cultural events dedicated to celebrating the 75th birthday of the legendary Armenian musician, artist, director, and producer Stas Namin. These events are organized with the support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia.
A Week of Arts and Culture
The extensive program includes theatrical performances, art exhibitions, and musical concerts, offering a diverse array of artistic expressions to honor Namin’s multifaceted career. - May 3, 7:00 PM: The drama “My Heart is in the Mountains,” based on the work of William Saroyan, will be staged.
- May 4-11: An exhibition of Stas Namin’s paintings and graphics will open at the Artists’ Union of Armenia. The exhibition will feature collections titled “My Armenia,” “Roots of Rock and Roll,” and “Faces of Freedom.”
- May 5, 7:00 PM: The musical “Beatlemania” will be presented. This joyful, romantic, and energetic performance will feature 25 timeless hits by The Beatles.
- May 6, 7:00 PM: Audiences can enjoy an exclusive production of “Hair,” the legendary hippie-rock musical that tells a story of youth, freedom, and love.
- May 7, 7:00 PM: An exclusive concert by Stas Namin’s legendary band “Tsvety” (Flowers) will take place. The concert will feature hits that have stood the test of time, including “Zvezdochka moya yasnaya,” “Letniy vecher,” “My zhelayem schastya vam,” and other well-known compositions. The band, which has been shaping rock music history for over half a century, will provide an unforgettable spiritual celebration, dedicating its mastery and energy to Stas Namin, Alexander Gretsinin, Valery Diorditsa, Yuri Vilnin, Oleg Predtechensky, and the vocalists of the jubilee’s theater.
