Temperature Rise Expected in Armenia, Yerevan to Reach +18 Degrees
YEREVAN, March 18 – The Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center of Armenia has announced a gradual increase in air temperature across the republic. Daytime temperatures on March 17-18 are expected to rise by 4-6 degrees Celsius.
Rain and Thunderstorms Predicted for Various Regions
While March 18-19 and the night of March 22 are forecast to be without precipitation, a change in weather patterns is expected later in the week. On March 20, precipitation is anticipated periodically in most regions. On March 21 and during the day on March 22, isolated areas may experience precipitation.
This precipitation will manifest as wet snow in mountainous zones and rain in foothill and valley areas. There is also a possibility of thunderstorms in some locations. The wind will be north-westerly, blowing at a speed of 2-5 meters per second.
Yerevan’s Specific Forecast
For the capital city of Yerevan, the forecast indicates no precipitation on March 18-19 and during the night of March 22. However, residents should prepare for rain on March 20-21 and in the evening of March 22. The temperature in Yerevan is projected to reach up to +18 degrees Celsius.
