The ‘Public Voice’ faction of the Yerevan City Council brought these issues to light on its Facebook page, citing numerous complaints from citizens.
Icy Sidewalks Lead to Injuries
According to reports from residents, many sidewalks across Yerevan remain uncleared, resulting in widespread black ice. This has led to a significant number of incidents where individuals have slipped and sustained fractures.
The ‘Public Voice’ faction specifically mentioned several problematic locations, including:
- Moldovakan 4 Street
- The intersection of Bagrevand and Moldovakan Streets
- The area from Acharyan to Myasnikyan Street
These areas, among others, are reportedly covered in treacherous ice, posing a serious threat to pedestrians.
Poor Asphalt Quality Creates Potholes
In addition to icy conditions, residents are also complaining about the consequences of substandard asphalt work. Following the snowfall, numerous large potholes have appeared on city roads, particularly in areas where the asphalt quality was already poor.
