Yerevan, January 16 – Avan District Community Police have successfully apprehended two young men suspected of stealing car mirrors from multiple vehicles. The arrests were made following a series of reports detailing thefts from cars parked on Tsarav Aghbyur Street in the Avan district.
Investigation Leads to Arrests in Car Mirror Theft Spree
Reports of car mirror thefts were filed with the Avan District Community Police on January 10, 11, and 13. According to these reports, mirrors were stolen from five different vehicles parked along various sections of Tsarav Aghbyur Street. The incidents prompted an immediate operational and investigative response from the police department.
Through diligent efforts, officers identified two suspects, both residents of Kanaker-Zeytun district, aged 20 and 21. Both individuals were subsequently apprehended and transferred to the pre-investigation body, where they reportedly provided confessional testimonies regarding their involvement in the thefts.
Suspects Confess to Thefts, Investigation Continues
The pre-investigation body is currently working to clarify all circumstances surrounding the incidents. The police emphasize that, in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia, a person suspected or accused of a crime is presumed innocent until their guilt is proven by a court verdict that has entered into legal force.
