Two Schoolchildren Struck by Vehicle in Musaler, Armavir Province

Musaler, January 19 – Two schoolchildren were involved in a hit-and-run accident on Monday, January 19, 2026, in Musaler, Armavir Province. The incident occurred around 3:30 PM on the Yerevan-Armavir highway, within the administrative territory of Musaler village. A Honda vehicle struck two pedestrians, subsequently colliding with a parked Mercedes. The Mercedes then moved forward, ending up off the roadway and onto a resident’s plot of land.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, who reported from the scene, one of the hit pedestrians was transported to the Vagharshapat Medical Center, while the other was taken to the Surb Astvatsamayr Medical Center in Yerevan. Sources indicate that the victims are 15 and 17 years old.

Details of the Accident

The Honda, after hitting the two schoolchildren, then crashed into a Mercedes that was legally parked on the side of the road. The impact caused the Mercedes to be displaced, moving off the carriageway and into an adjacent property. Emergency services, including medical personnel, were dispatched to the scene promptly to provide assistance to the injured.

Victims’ Condition and Ongoing Investigation

Both victims, identified as schoolchildren, received immediate medical attention. Their current condition has not been officially released, but their hospitalization confirms the severity of the incident.
