Yerevan, Armenia – The Armenian State Hydrometeorological Service has issued a weather forecast indicating a period of stable, dry weather for Yerevan and the entire Republic of Armenia from January 26 to January 30, 2026. Residents can expect clear skies with no precipitation during this five-day interval.
The wind is predicted to be from the southwest, blowing at a moderate speed of 2-5 meters per second. This consistent wind pattern is unlikely to bring significant changes in atmospheric pressure or temperature.
Foggy Conditions in Lowlands
Specific attention is drawn to the low-lying areas of the Shirak plain, the foothills of Aragatsotn, and the Ararat Valley. These regions, which include the capital city of Yerevan, are expected to experience fog on the afternoon of January 25 and throughout January 26. Drivers and pedestrians in these areas are advised to exercise caution due to reduced visibility.
Despite these local foggy conditions, the overall air temperature is not expected to undergo significant fluctuations. Daily temperatures in Yerevan are forecast to range from -6°C to -2°C, with a slight increase to -1°C on January 27. These temperatures are considered typical for this time of year.
