Armenia’s Top Taxpayers Boost State Budget by Nearly Half a Billion Dollars in 2025

Yerevan, January 27 – The contribution of Armenia’s top one thousand taxpayers to the state budget in 2025 recorded an impressive increase, rising by almost half a billion dollars compared to the previous year. According to data published by the State Revenue Committee, the total payments from large businesses amounted to more than $5.12 billion, exceeding the 2024 figure by approximately $456.7 million.

Leading Contributors to the State Budget

The annual summary list was led by “Mobile Centre” company, followed by “Grand Tobacco” and the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine (ZPMK). Tax revenues accounted for about $4.16 billion, while customs payments provided another $963.7 million to the state treasury.

These figures indicate an increase in economic activity and the effectiveness of tax revenue collection. For comparison, in 2024, the contribution of large taxpayers amounted to approximately $4.66 billion. The recorded growth extends to both internal taxes and customs revenues from foreign trade.

Transparency and Economic Pillars

The full list of the 1,000 companies, which serve as the backbone of the economy, is already available on the official website of the State Revenue Committee, allowing the public to familiarize themselves with the main sources of the country’s income generation.

This significant increase in tax contributions highlights a robust economic performance in Armenia, driven by its largest enterprises. The transparency provided by the State Revenue Committee in publishing this data further reinforces public trust and understanding of the nation’s financial landscape.

The sustained growth in both internal and external trade-related revenues suggests a healthy and expanding economic environment. The consistent performance of key industrial players like Mobile Centre, Grand Tobacco, and ZPMK underscores their vital role in the national economy and their substantial impact on the state budget.

The government’s efforts in effective tax collection and fostering a conducive business environment appear to be yielding positive results, contributing to the overall financial stability and development of Armenia.
