Fast Bank Becomes Title Sponsor of Pyunik Football Club’s Women’s and Youth Teams

Yerevan, March 6 – Fast Bank has announced its title sponsorship of the women’s and youth teams of the prominent Armenian football club “Pyunik.” Additionally, the bank will support two junior teams within the “Pyunik” Academy. The partnership, formalized on Friday, March 6, 2026, signifies a significant investment in the future of Armenian football.

A Commitment to Football Development

Garegin Darbinyan, Executive Director of Fast Bank, emphasized the natural alignment of this collaboration with the bank’s values. “This cooperation with Pyunik Football Club is an expression of our core values. Through this partnership, we also aim to contribute to the growth and development of our young football enthusiasts. We are confident that this joint effort will yield positive results,” stated Darbinyan.

Pyunik is a legendary Armenian football club, boasting 16 championship titles and 8 cups. The club has been instrumental in launching the careers of notable footballers such as Henrikh Mkhitaryan and other stars of the Armenian national team’s golden generation.

Pyunik FC Welcomes the Partnership

Suren Baghdasaryan, General Director of Pyunik FC, underscored the importance of the collaboration with Fast Bank. “We hope that this cooperation with the Bank will ensure very serious progress,” he remarked.

The launch event for the partnership was attended by several prominent figures, including Henri Avagyan, goalkeeper for the Armenian national team, Artak Dashyan, and other leading footballers from the Yerevan team. Avagyan expressed his sentiment that Pyunik is his second home, highlighting that his time at the club led to him being noticed and given the opportunity to represent the national team. “Pyunik’s goals have always been high in the Armenian championships; we are fighting for titles, and this year we will also try to win the championship and the cup,” Avagyan added.

Fast Bank’s Continued Investment in Sports

This collaboration further solidifies Fast Bank’s ongoing commitment to investing in the sports sector. Fast Bank is a company dedicated to becoming a digital bank, operating 24/7 in Yerevan and all regions of Armenia. Fast Bank is supervised by the Central Bank of Armenia.

Impact on Armenian Football

The sponsorship is expected to provide crucial financial support for the development of women’s and youth football within Pyunik FC. This includes enhancing training programs, improving facilities, and providing more opportunities for young talent to flourish. Such investments are vital for nurturing future generations of footballers and elevating the overall standard of the sport in Armenia.

The move by Fast Bank is seen as a strategic step not only in corporate social responsibility but also in strengthening its brand presence within the community. By associating with a revered club like Pyunik, Fast Bank aims to foster goodwill and demonstrate its dedication to national development beyond the financial sector.

This partnership comes at a time when there is a growing emphasis on youth sports development in Armenia. The support from institutions like Fast Bank is critical for ensuring that young athletes have the resources and opportunities they need to pursue their dreams and potentially represent Armenia on the international stage.

The collaboration between Fast Bank and Pyunik FC is anticipated to set a precedent for other corporate entities to engage more actively in supporting local sports, thereby contributing to a healthier and more vibrant society.
