Yerevan, March 13 – A physical altercation and brawl took place on March 7th at a gas station located opposite “Liana Garden Hall” at Tumanyan 1, Parakar community, in the Armavir region. The Vagharshapat department of the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia received operational information about the incident around 7:20 PM.
Details of the Incident
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, it was revealed that around 7:00 PM, 32-year-old Hrachik H. from Aragatsotn region, 48-year-old Nver A., 22-year-old Karen G. from Armavir region, and 35-year-old Mkhitar D. from Yerevan, arrived at the aforementioned gas station to clarify previous disagreements. These individuals reportedly exhibited aggressive behavior, engaged in pushing and shoving, and used abusive language.
Intervention and Escalation
During the confrontation, 60-year-old Sargis T. from Armavir region reportedly pushed Hrachik H., Nver A., Karen G., and Mkhitar D. out of the premises. The incident escalated, leading to the involvement of law enforcement.
Police Response and Investigation
Following the incident, the Vagharshapat Police Department compiled documents regarding the event. These documents have since been transferred to the Vagharshapat Investigative Department of the Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia for further investigation. The police are working to establish the full circumstances surrounding the brawl and determine appropriate legal action.
