YEREVAN, March 16 – Marash community police have successfully solved a robbery case that occurred in the capital on February 10. The incident involved the snatching of a purse containing money, bank cards, and a passport from a citizen’s daughter on Yervand Kochar Street.
Police Respond to Robbery Report
The alarm regarding the robbery was received by the Police Operations Management Center on February 10. A citizen reported that his daughter’s purse had been snatched on Yervand Kochar Street. Officers from the Marash Department of Community Police were immediately dispatched to the scene. The daughter reported that as she was opening the entrance door of a building, an unknown individual openly snatched her bag.
Investigation Leads to Suspect Identification
A criminal proceeding was initiated with the characteristics of robbery. As a result of operational and investigative measures undertaken by the Marash community police, it was determined on February 28 that the robbery was committed by a 26-year-old resident of David Malyan Street in the capital. On the same day, at 12:15 PM, the suspect was located in the Jrvezh district, arrested, and transferred to the police department.
Suspect Transferred to Pre-Investigation Body
Following the arrest, the young man was presented to the pre-investigation body with the compiled documents. The circumstances of the case are currently being clarified through pre-investigation procedures.
