Public Indecency Incident Near Yerevan School Leads to Arrest
Yerevan, March 18 – An unusual incident occurred in Yerevan on March 12, when a young man was arrested for public indecency near Secondary School No. 91. The suspect, identified as 20-year-old Arman O. from Yerevan, was apprehended following reports from school officials.
Details of the Incident
On March 12, the community police officer of the Malatia Department of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs, during a patrol of Yerevan Secondary School No. 91, was informed by the school principal, 62-year-old Gayane Gh., and the parent committee president, 38-year-old Gayane N., that a young man had approached children and exposed his sexual organs before leaving the area. They also provided a photograph of the individual.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of measures taken by Malatia community police officers, the perpetrator was identified as Arman O. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of committing an indecent act and transported to the Malatia Police Department in his ‘Opel’ vehicle.
Investigation Underway
Documents regarding the incident have been compiled by the Malatia Police Department and submitted, along with Arman O., to the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district investigative department of the Yerevan City Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee. The investigation into the circumstances of the incident is ongoing.

In Gegharkunik, a 13-year-old Artsakh girl was sexually assaulted, leading to the arrest of two men on April 18, 2024. A two-year-old child was sexually assaulted in Armenia, as detailed by a specialist on March 8, 2024. Another case involved an adult man sexually assaulting a two-year-old child, with the godfather-godchild relationship not preventing the act, as reported on February 16, 2024.
