YEREVAN, March 21 – A bus driver in Yerevan was subjected to violence on Thursday, March 19, 2026, marking another incident of assault against public transport personnel in the city. The victim, identified as 67-year-old Norayr E. from Yerevan, was operating a route 46 bus, which is part of the Yerevan Municipality’s public transport system.

The altercation occurred around 4:15 PM at the intersection of Ayvazovsky and Avanesov streets. The incident reportedly stemmed from a traffic dispute involving the failure to yield and the use of a car horn. During the dispute, an unidentified individual assaulted Norayr E., inflicting bodily injuries.

Following the assault, Norayr E. was transported to the “Erebuni” Medical Center for treatment. The nature and extent of his injuries have not been fully disclosed, but he is currently receiving medical care.
