Car Catches Fire Near Parpi Village, Two Injured

Emergency Incident: Car Fire on Yerevan-Gyumri Highway

GYUMRI, Shirak Province, Armenia, March 25, 2026 – An emergency call was received yesterday, March 24, at 11:28 AM, by the Aragatsotn Regional Operational Management Center regarding a car fire near the Mughni neighborhood on the Yerevan-Gyumri highway. A fire-rescue squad from the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Rescue Service Department was dispatched to the scene.

According to preliminary information from the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Rescue Service, a ‘Nissan’ branded vehicle veered off the roadway near Parpi village, entered a field, and subsequently caught fire. The fire was isolated by 11:50 AM and completely extinguished by 11:55 AM, but the car was entirely consumed by the blaze.

Two Individuals Hospitalized

The driver and a passenger of the burning vehicle were transported to a medical center for treatment. Their current condition has not been disclosed, but they are receiving necessary medical attention.

This incident marks another in a series of emergency events in the region. Local authorities are investigating the cause of the fire. Further details will be provided as they become available.
