Three individuals arrested after incident with Prime Minister at St. Anna Church in Yerevan

Yerevan, March 29 – Three individuals have been arrested following an incident involving Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at St. Anna Church today. The arrests were confirmed by Narek Sargsyan, press secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, to “Novosti-Armenia” agency.

According to Sargsyan, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ police service detained three people on suspicion of hooliganism and interfering with the legitimate official and political activities of an official. The detainees and the compiled documents have been handed over to the Investigative Committee.

A video circulating on social media today shows an incident that occurred after a liturgy at St. Anna Church in Yerevan. As the Prime Minister was walking towards the exit accompanied by bodyguards, one of the attendees approached him and, saying, “Don’t look at me like that,” made a sharp gesture with their hand towards the Prime Minister.
