Armenian Police Operational Summary: April 7-8, 2026

Yerevan, April 8, 2026 – The Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia have released their operational summary for April 7-8, 2026, detailing a total of 180 crimes uncovered across the republic. Four of these crimes were committed previously, now brought to light through ongoing investigations.

Key Crime Statistics

The detailed breakdown of uncovered crimes is as follows:

  • 81 cases: Driving a vehicle by a person deprived of, suspended from, or without the right to drive.
  • 15 cases: Drug detection.
  • 12 cases: Causing bodily harm.
  • 10 cases: Fraud.
  • 9 cases: Physical assault.
  • 7 cases: Theft of personal property.
  • 4 cases: Psychological assault.
  • 3 cases: Self-empowerment (arbitrary actions).
  • 2 cases each: Robbery, illegal entrepreneurial activity, detection of cold weapons.

Additionally, the police uncovered cases of apartment theft, car theft, embezzlement of entrusted property, destruction or damage to property, seizure of weapons and ammunition, smuggling of firearms, illegal circulation of firearms, failure to fulfill child care obligations, document forgery, appropriation of property outside a person’s possession, creation and presentation of forged documents, stalking, violation of labor protection rules, and other offenses.

Previously Committed Crimes and Apprehensions

Among the previously committed crimes, the following were revealed:

  • 2 cases: Apartment theft.
  • 1 case each: Theft of personal property, causing bodily harm.

Law enforcement also successfully located 8 wanted individuals, while 3 others voluntarily surrendered. Furthermore, 1 missing person was found during this period. There were 4 instances of voluntary surrender of weapons and ammunition.

Road Traffic Accident Statistics

Over the past 24 hours, from April 7 to April 8, a total of 14 road traffic accidents were registered. These incidents resulted in 21 individuals sustaining bodily injuries of varying degrees.
