Yerevan, April 29 – A tragic incident occurred in Yerevan yesterday evening, April 28, 2026. Around 7:00 PM, operational information was received by the Malatia Department of the Community Police of the General Department of Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, reporting the discovery of a body under the Hrazdan Bridge.
Police and Patrol Services Respond to the Scene
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, who reported from the scene, an operational group from the Malatia Department of the Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, led by department head Karen Buniatyan, arrived promptly.
Patrol officers from the 3rd company of the 4th battalion of the Yerevan City Regiment of the Patrol Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia also arrived expeditiously. They were led by Regiment Commander Andranik Khachatryan, Deputy Regiment Commander Arsen Stepanyan, Battalion Commander David Nikoghosyan, and Company Commander Alyosha Ayvazyan.
