Yerevan, May 10 – A mysterious death occurred in Yerevan on Sunday night, May 9. Around 00:10, operational information was received by the Criminal Police Department of Yerevan, Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, stating that the body of a man had been transported to “Erebuni” Medical Center by unknown individuals around 23:50.
Police Investigate Mysterious Death
Officers from the Yerevan Criminal Department, led by Head Hayk Harutyunyan, immediately arrived at the hospital. They confirmed the information, identifying the deceased as Gagik Hakhverdyan, a 41-year-old resident of Yerevan. His body was transported to the hospital from near a restaurant complex operating in the Erebuni administrative district.
A criminal case has been initiated by the investigative department under the classification of “murder (hit-and-run, sudden death)”.
Circumstances Surrounding the Death Under Investigation
Criminal police and the investigative department are working to identify who transported the deceased’s body to the hospital. They are undertaking necessary operational-investigative and joint actions to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
