Yerevan, May 13 – A dispute over a parking space in Yerevan yesterday evening resulted in a shooting incident, according to a statement from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia. Police have apprehended a 53-year-old man in connection with the incident.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs’ 112 operational management center received an alert from a citizen at 7:26 PM on May 12, reporting a quarrel on Shirak Street. Operational police groups were immediately dispatched to the specified address.
According to preliminary information, a 53-year-old man was involved in a dispute with another individual over a parking space. During the altercation, the man fired one shot into the air from a registered firearm.
Police Response and Investigation
The individual and the weapon have been located and apprehended. Authorities are currently investigating all circumstances surrounding the incident. The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirmed that there were no reported injuries as a result of the shooting.
