Ani Muradyan contributed a bronze medal, rounding out the team’s commendable performance. These results underscore the depth of talent across various weight classes in the Armenian squad.

This achievement follows other recent successes for Armenian boxers, including three gold medals won by Armenian boxers in Lithuania, where David Simonyan was recognized as the best boxer. An Artsakh boxer also became an international boxing tournament champion, further illustrating the strong presence of Armenian athletes in the sport.

The Significance of International Exposure

Participation in international tournaments like the Iracli Abashidze event provides invaluable experience for Armenian athletes, allowing them to compete against diverse opponents and refine their skills on a global stage. Such exposure is crucial for their development and for raising the profile of Armenian boxing internationally.

The success in Georgia is a testament to the dedication of the athletes and the effective coaching strategies employed by Vazgen Badalyan and his team. It also serves as an inspiration for aspiring young boxers in Armenia, encouraging them to pursue excellence in the sport.

The Armenian Boxing Federation has expressed its pride in the team’s performance, emphasizing the importance of continued support for the development of boxing in the country. The federation aims to build on these successes and continue to foster a new generation of champions.
