Body of 53-Year-Old Man Found in Yerevan Detention Center
Yerevan, May 16 – A tragic incident unfolded in Yerevan on May 16, when the body of a 53-year-old man, identified as Marat M. from one of the regions, was discovered in a detention facility located on Movses Khorenatsi Street. The alarm was raised around 07:50 AM, prompting an immediate response from law enforcement.
Investigation Launched into Mysterious Death
Upon receiving the information, the Erebuni Police Department of the Community Police General Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia dispatched an operational group to the scene. - On May 29, the body of a woman was found in one of the houses in Arabkir, Yerevan.

- On May 18, a man’s body was discovered in the parking lot of “Rossia Mall” in Yerevan.
- On May 6, the body of a Russian woman was found near the “Botanical Institute.”
- On April 27, a body was found in the Erebuni administrative district, with preliminary information suggesting sudden death.
- On April 24, criminal proceedings were initiated following the sudden death of a citizen near the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial Complex.
- Also on April 24, a 35-year-old man’s body was found in the yard of “Eighty Eight Hotel and Spa” in Tsaghkadzor.
These recurring incidents have raised concerns among the public regarding safety and the efficacy of investigations into such cases.
