YEREVAN, September 30 – Officers from the Malatia District Department of the Community Police received operational intelligence indicating that a resident of the Haghtanak district was illegally storing and selling drugs. The information was verified and substantiated, according to a statement from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as reported by Armenpress.
Criminal Proceedings Initiated, House Search Conducted
Criminal proceedings were initiated in the investigative department of the Malatia-Sebastia administrative district. On September 24, based on a court decision, a search was conducted at the residence of a 54-year-old man. During the search, officers discovered two electric scales, pills of unknown origin, empty containers with yellowish-green traces, containers filled with cannabis seeds, one container with a white solution, and two and a half kilograms of marijuana.
Suspect Under House Arrest
The homeowner has been placed under house arrest as a precautionary measure. The circumstances of the case are currently being investigated by the authorities.
