Yerevan, October 1 – Akba Bank, in collaboration with the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund and the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, has presented a summary of their joint musical and cultural programs spanning several years. The event showcased the significant impact of their partnership on the cultural landscape.
Akba Bank’s 30th Anniversary Celebrated with a New Jingle
During the event, the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra premiered a jingle specifically composed for Akba Bank’s 30th anniversary. This short, impressive, and memorable musical piece is set to become Akba Bank’s musical signature.
A Celebration of Collaborative Musical Projects
The Armenian State Symphony Orchestra performed pieces from the internationally acclaimed ‘Aznavourana’ album, recorded in collaboration with Akba Bank and the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund under the Deutsche Grammophon label. Additionally, compositions from the ‘Symphonic Lullabies’ album, also a result of this tripartite cooperation, were presented.
The evening featured a special guest performance by renowned French cellist Camille Thomas, adding an international flair to the cultural celebration.
A Decade of Partnership for Community Development
The collaboration between Akba Bank and the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund began in 2012. Through this partnership, Akba Bank transfers funds from the income generated by non-cash transactions made by over 300,000 Visa Benefactor cardholders to a special account of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund. These funds are used to implement sustainable and promising programs for societal benefit, contributing to community development and strengthening the state.
Statements from Key Figures
Hakob Andreasyan, CEO of Akba Bank, emphasized the importance of the values they impart to society. “It is very important for us what values we give to our society, because it is valuable to have a literate, educated, healthy society. I want to thank our partners, the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund and the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, and I am confident that our cooperation will last for a very long time,” he stated.
Aramayis Avetisyan, Executive Director of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, highlighted the exemplary nature of the cooperation. “The Hayastan All-Armenian Fund and Akba Bank have a brilliant example of cooperation. Thanks to the funds received from the transactions of Akba Bank’s Visa Benefactor cardholders, we implement joint programs aimed at the development of Armenian communities. In this way, we not only raise the necessary funds for the implementation of programs, but also enable more than 300,000 cardholders to participate in the implementation of our programs, the empowerment of communities and, ultimately, the strengthening of our state,” Avetisyan noted.
Narek Asatryan, Head of Public Relations at Akba Bank, described the concert as a gift to their partners and employees, a report on their work and results, and a new beginning for future projects. “Over the past 3-4 years, within the framework of the Visa Benefactor program, Akba Bank, the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund and the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra have implemented several very significant programs. Today’s concert was, first of all, a gift to our partners, employees. Secondly, it was a report on the work done and the results. Thirdly, it was the announcement of a new start for the implementation of future programs,” Asatryan said.
Immersive Cultural Experience
Attendees of the concert also had the unique opportunity to “travel” through Martiros Saryan’s paintings using VR glasses and experience the sounds of Aram Khachaturian’s “Spartacus” and “Gayane” ballets as if they were conducting the orchestra.
Akba Bank operates under the supervision of the Central Bank of Armenia.
