Yerevan: Young Man Hospitalized with Stab Wounds
Yerevan, May 15, 2026 – A 23-year-old man was hospitalized with multiple stab wounds following an incident that took place on May 6, 2026. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, specifically the Nor Nork Police Department, received operational information around 02:50 AM regarding a young man being admitted to the “St. Gregory the Illuminator” Medical Center with “cut-and-pierced wounds to various parts of the body.”
Details of the Incident
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, police investigations revealed that the injured man sustained the wounds during an altercation near School No. 150 in the Nor Nork 4th district. An unknown individual reportedly attacked him with a knife-like object. Authorities are actively working to identify the assailant and locate both the individual and the weapon used in the crime.
Ongoing Investigation
Documents pertaining to the incident have been compiled by the Nor Nork Police Department and transferred to the Avan and Nor Nork administrative districts’ investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Yerevan City for further proceedings.
