Yerevan, August 3, 2026 – The Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra (ANPO), under the artistic direction and principal conductorship of Eduard Topchjan, recently completed a highly successful concert tour in Armenia’s Syunik Province. The tour, which took place from July 29 to 31, featured performances in the cities of Meghri, Kapan, and Goris, with the participation of world-renowned violinist Sergey Khachatryan, widely recognized as one of the most prominent musicians of our time.
A Significant Cultural Event in Syunik Province
The concert series was made possible with the support of the Zangezur Copper-Molybdenum Combine and the Agarak Copper-Molybdenum Combine. The program included Max Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1 in G minor, performed by Sergey Khachatryan, and Aram Khachaturian’s “Masquerade” Suite, presented by the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra.
This concert tour marked a significant cultural event for the Syunik Province, providing residents with a unique opportunity to experience performances by world-class musicians and to enjoy masterpieces of classical music delivered by one of Armenia’s leading musical ensembles.
The initiative aimed to unite the efforts of representatives from Armenia and the Diaspora in supporting cultural and socially important projects.
Sergey Khachatryan: A Deep Connection to His Homeland
Sergey Khachatryan, the acclaimed violinist, expressed his profound connection to Armenia:

Eduard Topchjan, Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra, emphasized the orchestra’s dedication to bringing classical music to all regions of Armenia:
