Car Accident in Yerevan: One Injured After Collision on Arhno Babajanyan Street

Yerevan, August 22 – Yesterday, August 21, a road accident occurred in Yerevan. At approximately 3:10 PM, on Arhno Babajanyan Street, an ‘Opel Astra’ driven by 45-year-old Sargis Z. collided with a ‘Ford Transit’ driven by 55-year-old Ashot G. The information was reported by shamshyan.com.

Details of the Accident and Emergency Response

As a result of the collision, one of the drivers, Sargis Z., sustained bodily injuries and was promptly transported to the ‘Astghik’ Medical Center for medical attention. The rapid response of the emergency services ensured that the injured party received immediate care.

Officers from the Patrol Service of the Yerevan City Regiment of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, including Commander Gor Arakelyan, Deputy Commander Azat Tadevosyan, and Company Commander Sargis Kirakosyan, arrived at the scene. They were accompanied by Senior Patrol Officer Sevak Hayrapetyan and Junior Patrol Officer Ludwig Mkrtchyan, who cordoned off the area to ensure safety and manage traffic flow.

Investigation Underway

The Patrol Service of the Yerevan City Regiment forwarded information about the accident to the Road Traffic Crimes Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Yerevan. An investigative team, led by Deputy Department Heads Artur Adamyan and Grigor Avetisyan, along with the on-duty investigator, arrived at the scene to commence proceedings.

A criminal case has been initiated by the investigative department regarding the incident. Authorities are currently conducting a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause and circumstances surrounding the accident. Further details will be released as the investigation progresses.
