YEREVAN, January 27 – A car fire was reported late yesterday evening in Yerevan, near the address 60 Khachik Dashtents Street. The National Crisis Management Center received the information at 11:34 PM on January 26.
Firefighters Respond to the Scene
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs Rescue Service, a fire and rescue squad from the Yerevan City Rescue Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Rescue Service was immediately dispatched to the scene. The fire was contained by 11:50 PM and fully extinguished by 11:58 PM.
VAZ-2108 Completely Destroyed
The vehicle involved was a “VAZ-2108” model car, which was completely burned. No casualties were reported in connection with the incident.
Other Incidents in Yerevan and Armenia
This incident follows several other recent events in Yerevan and across Armenia, including warnings about rising river levels, the discovery of a man’s body on a concrete slab of a high-rise building, and the destruction of a bell tower dedicated to the Armenian Genocide in Stepanakert. Additionally, Turkey and Armenia have signed an agreement in Yerevan regarding the restoration of the Ani Bridge.
In another incident, four girls aged 17-19 were trapped on an island in the Hrazdan Gorge and were rescued by police officers.
