Car Fire Engulfs Mercedes-Benz in Gyumri Garage
Gyumri, May 1 – A Mercedes-Benz car was completely destroyed in a fire that broke out in a garage on Furmanov Street in Gyumri, Shirak Province, yesterday evening. Emergency services were alerted to the incident at 5:28 PM, prompting a rapid response from the regional rescue department.
Emergency Response and Containment
According to the Shirak Regional Operative Management Center, the alarm was raised at 5:28 PM regarding a vehicle fire inside a garage. A fire-rescue squad from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Rescue Service was immediately dispatched to the scene.
Firefighters successfully isolated the blaze by 6:00 PM and fully extinguished it by 6:04 PM. Despite the swift action, the “Mercedes-Benz” brand car was completely consumed by the fire, resulting in its total destruction.
Investigation Underway
The cause of the fire has not yet been officially determined, and an investigation is expected to be launched to ascertain the circumstances leading to the incident. There were no immediate reports of injuries or fatalities associated with the fire.
This incident follows a series of recent fires in the region, including a warehouse fire on Shirak Street, a fire during welding work on a “Vaz 2106” car, and other emergency incidents in Benjamin village and Silikyan district, highlighting a concerning trend of such occurrences.
