Four Hospitalized After Shooting Incident in Yerevan
Yerevan, June 20 – Four people were hospitalized yesterday after a shooting incident in the Sisavan Street area of Yerevan. Authorities have confirmed one arrest in connection with the event, and investigations are ongoing to identify all individuals involved.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) officially confirmed that shots were fired in Yerevan again. The incident occurred around 1:00 PM when the MIA’s 112 operational control center received an alert about a dispute involving citizens on Sisavan Street. Rapid response teams from the Criminal Police Department of Yerevan and the Community Police Department of Malatia were immediately dispatched to the scene.
“It was established that a dispute took place on Sisavan Street, during which firearms were used. As a result of the incident, four individuals were transported to various medical institutions. Their lives are not in danger,” a representative from the MIA informed Pastinfo. “One person has been detained. Measures are being taken to identify and locate all participants in the altercation.”
This incident follows other recent reports of gunfire in the Armenian capital, raising concerns about public safety. The police are urging anyone with information related to the shooting to come forward to assist with the investigation.
