Yerevan, May 25 – Firefighters successfully extinguished a house fire on Frunze Dovlatyan Street in Yerevan yesterday evening, May 24, 2026, preventing the blaze from spreading to adjacent properties. No injuries were reported in the incident.
Emergency Response to the Fire
The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) 112 operational management center received a report at 6:55 PM on May 24, stating that a house was on fire on Frunze Dovlatyan Street in Yerevan. Four fire and rescue teams from the Yerevan City Rescue Department of the MIA’s Rescue Service, along with a duty group from the Firefighting and Rescue Operations Organization Department and a duty psychologist from the Psychological Support and Medical Provision Department, were immediately dispatched to the scene.
Firefighters Contain and Extinguish the Blaze
The fire was contained by 7:35 PM and fully extinguished by 7:48 PM. The single-story house, approximately 120 square meters in size, was completely burned. However, due to the swift and effective actions of the fire and rescue teams, the fire was prevented from spreading to the neighboring houses, which were at significant risk.
A spokesperson for the Yerevan City Rescue Department stated, “Our teams responded promptly and professionally, which was crucial in preventing a much larger disaster. Their efforts ensured that the fire was limited to the initial structure and did not endanger other homes or residents.”
No Casualties Reported
Authorities confirmed that there were no casualties or injuries as a result of the fire. All residents were safely evacuated from the affected area. The quick response time and efficient coordination among emergency services played a vital role in ensuring the safety of the public.
