Irina Seylanyan Appointed Executive Director of AIFA Foundation
Yerevan, June 26 – The ‘Afeayn Initiatives for Armenia’ (AIFA) Foundation has announced the appointment of Irina Seylanyan as its new Executive Director. Seylanyan, a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in the financial sector both in Armenia and internationally, will now lead the foundation’s strategic programs and partnerships.
Extensive Experience in Financial Sector
Irina Seylanyan’s career spans more than two decades, during which she has accumulated rich strategic management experience. In her new role, she will be responsible for developing and implementing AIFA’s strategic initiatives and fostering partnerships with all stakeholders in Armenia and the Armenian diaspora worldwide.
“Irina possesses a unique combination of leadership, strategic vision, and a profound sense of responsibility for Armenia’s future. Her experience in building partnerships, developing, and leading complex initiatives will greatly assist in guiding our efforts towards long-term change,” stated Noubar and Anna Afeyan, trustees of the Afeyan Foundation.
Prior to joining AIFA, Irina Seylanyan held several prominent positions, including CEO of HSBC Armenia and Head of International Markets Department at HSBC Malta. She also served as Head of Regulatory Risk Programs at HSBC Bank Plc (UK).
Leadership Roles and Board Memberships
Seylanyan is actively involved in various organizations, holding significant board memberships. She chairs the Board of Trustees of the National Insurance Fund for Servicemen (ZINAPAH) and is a board member of the Armenian National Payment System (ArCa) and the American Chamber of Commerce in Armenia (AmCham).
