Yerevan, June 7 – Shots were fired in Yerevan today, June 7, 2026. At around 02:20 AM, a group of young people transported a citizen with gunshot wounds to Heratsi University Hospital No. 1 in their personal vehicle. The hospital informed the 112 operational management center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, which then relayed the information to the Yerevan Criminal Department of the Criminal Police General Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. An operational group, led by Hayk Harutyunyan, head of the Yerevan Criminal Department, arrived at the hospital.
Victim in Critical Condition, Unable to Provide Statement
Upon arrival, doctors informed the police that the injured man was in the operating room, his condition was critical, and he was unable to provide an explanation of the incident. While doctors were fighting for the victim’s life, Yerevan criminal police identified him as 30-year-old Arsen Manucharyan, a resident of Yerevan. He had sustained gunshot wounds, including injuries to his “left forearm and upper right thigh.”
Investigation into ‘Razborka’ Incident Underway
Criminal police received operational information that he was transported to the hospital from an address in the Arabkir administrative district, where a “razborka” (dispute) had taken place between several individuals, during which the shots were fired. Documents concerning the incident have been compiled and transferred to the Arabkir Investigative Department of the Yerevan City Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, where a criminal case has been initiated.
Joint Efforts to Uncover Details and Apprehend Suspects
Criminal police and the Arabkir Investigative Department are undertaking necessary operational-investigative and joint investigative actions to clarify the full picture of the incident, identify the participants, and locate them and the firearm used in the crime.
