YEREVAN, Armenia – June 8, 2026 – A man sustained gunshot wounds following an altercation in Yerevan on Sunday, June 7. The incident, which involved a group of individuals, led to the hospitalization of 30-year-old Arsen Manucharyan, a resident of Yerevan.
Man Hospitalized with Gunshot Wounds
According to reports from Shamshyan.com, Manucharyan was transported to Heratsi Hospital No. 1 University Hospital around 2:20 AM by a group of young people in a private vehicle. Doctors at the hospital informed police that the injured man was in surgery, in serious condition, and unable to provide a statement regarding the incident.
Manucharyan suffered gunshot wounds to his left forearm and the upper third of his right thigh. While doctors were fighting for his life, Yerevan criminal police identified the victim and began their investigation.
Investigation Underway in Arabkir District
Criminal police received operational information indicating that Manucharyan was brought to the hospital from an address in the Arabkir administrative district. It is believed that a “razborka” (a term often used to describe a showdown or dispute, sometimes violent) occurred between several individuals at that location, during which shots were fired.
Documents related to the incident have been prepared and forwarded to the Arabkir Investigative Division of the Yerevan City Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia. A criminal case has been initiated based on the facts of the incident.

Criminal police and the Arabkir Investigative Division are undertaking necessary operational-investigative and joint investigative actions to establish the full picture of the incident, identify all participants, and locate them, as well as the firearm used in the crime.
