Yerevan, July 21, 2025 – A theft of a significant amount of money was reported in Yerevan on June 30, 2025. At approximately 8:00 PM, the Shengavit Police Department of the General Department of Community Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Armenia received information about a large sum of money stolen from a house on Katovsku Street, as reported by Shamshyan.com.

A 67-year-old Yerevan resident, Aziz B., informed officers of the Shengavit Police Department that on the same day, she noticed that her deceased husband’s son, Irfan Hanceb, a Turkish national, had stolen 2.4 million Armenian drams and 500 US dollars from her address. According to her statement, Hanceb left for the customs office at 3:00 PM on the same day.
