New Traffic Regulations in Yerevan: Left Turn Prohibited from Hovsep Emin Street to Davtashen Bridge

Yerevan, April 21 – The Yerevan Municipality has announced significant changes to traffic regulations that will come into effect on April 22, 2026. Drivers will no longer be permitted to make a left turn from Hovsep Emin Street towards the Davtashen Bridge.

This decision aims to streamline traffic flow and improve road safety in one of the city’s busy areas. The municipality advises motorists to plan their routes accordingly to avoid inconvenience.

Alternative Routes for Drivers

To continue towards the Davtashen Bridge, drivers are instructed to make a right turn onto Aygekutsu Street. Following this, they should proceed along Vagharshyan Street, which will lead them to the Davtashen Bridge.

In addition to the left-turn ban, parking will also be prohibited along the section of Hovsep Emin Street leading up to Aygekutsu Street. This measure is expected to further alleviate congestion and ensure smoother traffic movement in the area.

Impact on Commuters

These changes are expected to affect daily commuters and residents who frequently use this route. The Yerevan Municipality urges all drivers to pay close attention to the new road signs and markings that will be installed to guide them through the revised traffic patterns.

Local authorities have been working to implement various urban planning initiatives aimed at modernizing the city’s infrastructure and enhancing the overall quality of urban life. This latest traffic regulation is part of a broader effort to manage the growing volume of vehicles in the capital.

Drivers are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the new rules before April 22 to ensure a smooth transition and prevent any potential traffic violations or delays.
