Yerevan, April 10 – Ucom and Impact Hub Yerevan are pleased to announce the launch of the third phase of the ‘Ucom Fellowship’ incubation program, building on two years of successful collaboration. This strategic partnership continues its mission to promote the development of Armenia’s green economy by supporting entrepreneurs who solve critical environmental challenges through technology.
Previous Successes and Future Goals
The three winning teams of the Ucom Fellowship 2025 each received 400,000 drams to develop their ideas and expand their operations. These included Bee Green, which produces fully biodegradable beeswax wraps to combat plastic waste; Eco Habit, which manufactures carpets from nylon hosiery production waste while providing employment to vulnerable groups; and Sun Home guesthouse, an ecotourism initiative promoting sustainable development in the Lori region.
“At Ucom, we believe that green technologies can become a crucial driving force for sustainable development. Through the ‘Ucom Fellowship’ program, we support initiatives that not only offer innovative ideas but also present practical solutions aimed at environmental protection and Armenia’s sustainable future. We are happy to see how these ideas are transforming into practical initiatives, and we are confident that many of them will become important components of the country’s future green economy,” stated Ralph Yirikian, CEO of Ucom.
“The third year of collaboration with Ucom reaffirms our shared belief that the most effective way to address environmental crises is through a comprehensive and entrepreneurial approach. By providing these innovators with top-tier mentorship and a conducive environment for development, we are building a sustainable community of change-makers that will contribute to Armenia’s more sustainable and circular economy,” noted TJ Jghalyan, Programs Director at Impact Hub Yerevan.
