Gyumri, June 25, 2022 – On Saturday, at 10:11 AM, the Shirak Regional Crisis Management Center received a report regarding detached roof sheets from Building 24 on Gandilyan Street in Gyumri. The incident, caused by strong winds, created a hazardous situation with the risk of the sheets falling.

Following the alert, a fire and rescue squad from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations’ Rescue Service was immediately dispatched to the scene. The team’s prompt response was crucial in mitigating potential danger to passersby and residents.

Upon arrival, rescue workers assessed the situation and proceeded to dismantle six detached roof sheets, covering an area of approximately 30 square meters. This action effectively eliminated the immediate threat posed by the hanging metal sheets.
