Yerevan, Armenia, June 3 – The Union of Advanced Technology Enterprises (UATE) officially announced the appointment of Edita Ghazaryan as its interim Executive Director, effective June 1, 2026. The unanimous decision was made by the UATE Board, highlighting Ghazaryan’s significant contributions and deep understanding of the organization’s mission and community programs.
A Leader with Proven Experience
Edita Ghazaryan has been a pivotal figure in UATE’s growth and development over the past four years, leading initiatives in community expansion and strategic collaborations with international organizations. Her extensive experience includes managing complex programs and implementing initiatives of strategic importance for Armenia, having held leadership positions in both local and international organizations.
Armen Kocharyan, President of UATE, expressed full confidence in Ghazaryan’s leadership. “Edita Ghazaryan has been at the heart of UATE’s activities and community program development for many years. She possesses a profound understanding of the organization’s work and has established trusted relationships within the community. The UATE Board fully supports Edita Ghazaryan and is confident that her leadership will ensure a smooth and stable transition into a new phase of the organization’s development,” stated Kocharyan.
Expanding UATE’s Reach and Impact
Under Ghazaryan’s direct involvement, UATE has significantly expanded its network, now uniting approximately 300 technology companies. This expansion underscores her ability to foster growth and strengthen the technological ecosystem in Armenia.
Ghazaryan holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Yerevan State University and a Master’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from the American University of Armenia.
Gratitude for Previous Leadership
The UATE Board also extended its profound gratitude to Sargis Karapetyan, who joined the organization in 2023 and led it through a crucial development phase, contributing to its continuous growth and expanding influence.
