Evocabank and Kentron District Partner to Bring New Colors to Yerevan

Yerevan, June 12 – Evocabank and the Kentron administrative district have signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at transforming and developing Yerevan’s public spaces. This partnership seeks to breathe new life into the city’s often-overlooked corners, turning them into vibrant artistic expressions.

The memorandum was signed by Tatevik Khachatryan, Deputy Chairman of Evocabank’s Management Board, and Petros Petoyan, Head of the Kentron administrative district. The initiative draws its inspiration from Evocabank’s 2026 calendar, which features unique street art concepts created by four talented artists: Adam Adamyan, Gandz Graffiti, Gareggin, and Harut. These artists, inspired by various locations across Armenia and the changing seasons, developed these concepts in 2025.

From Calendar to City Streets: A Vision for Public Art

Each page of Evocabank’s 2026 calendar showcases a distinct artistic concept that is now being brought to life on the streets of Yerevan. “This year, our calendar was not just a series of months, but a vision to see Yerevan anew and to reinterpret public spaces. We want Yerevan to be a more inspiring, art-filled, and unifying city,” stated Tatevik Khachatryan, Deputy Chairman of Evocabank’s Management Board.

Petros Petoyan, Head of the Kentron administrative district, emphasized the importance of street art in modern urban development. “Yerevan is a city of colors, and new colors suit it especially well. The experience of many leading cities around the world shows that street art has long become an important component of modern urban architecture and cultural life. Yerevan is no exception. The goal of this initiative is to give Yerevan a new spirit, to make it even more colorful, modern, and attractive, transforming the city’s streets and buildings into a unique open-air art platform.”

Transforming Yerevan: A Collaborative Effort

The collaboration between Evocabank and the Kentron administrative district highlights a commitment to enhancing the urban landscape through art. This project aims to engage residents and visitors alike, fostering a deeper appreciation for public spaces and contemporary artistic expression. By integrating these unique street art installations, Yerevan seeks to join the ranks of global cities that leverage art to define their identity and enrich the lives of their communities.

The initiative is expected to contribute to the city’s cultural vibrancy and attract further interest from both local and international audiences. The transformation of these public spaces into open-air galleries will provide a dynamic and accessible platform for artistic enjoyment, making Yerevan an even more captivating destination.
