Yerevan, July 22 – A 17-year-old resident of Verin Shengavit was arrested on July 7 in Yerevan on suspicion of illegally acquiring, possessing, using, and distributing drugs. The arrest took place on Garegin Nzhdeh Street at approximately 7:30 PM, as the teenager was allegedly placing drugs and photographing the hiding spot.

Law enforcement officials from the Shengavit Department of the Community Police received intelligence regarding the teenager’s activities. Following an operational investigative effort, the information was confirmed, leading to the apprehension of the 17-year-old.
During a search of the individual, 26 packages of marijuana, equipped with adhesive tapes of various colors and magnets, were discovered. The total weight of the seized drugs exceeded 46 grams.
