Yerevan, September 8 – A 17-year-old student was hospitalized with polytrauma after a brawl at Yerevan Vocational School No. 6. The incident, which occurred on September 3, is currently under investigation by law enforcement authorities.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia’s Police Department of Community Police, Mashtots Division, received information from the “Wigmore” Medical Center at approximately 11:40 PM on September 3, reporting that a minor had been admitted with polytrauma due to a beating from an address on Beknazaryan Street 5.
An operational group from the Mashtots Police Department, led by a community police officer, immediately arrived at the hospital. The victim was identified as A.G., a 17-year-old resident of Yerevan.
Investigation Reveals Fight Between Students
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, community police officers from Mashtots discovered that on September 3, at around 2:00 PM, A.G. and H.B., a 17-year-old third-year student from the same vocational school and a resident of Aragatsotn Province, had an argument over personal matters in the courtyard of Yerevan Vocational School No. 6, located at Beknazaryan Street 5. During the altercation, H.B. repeatedly punched A.G. in various parts of his body, causing bodily injuries.
Police Search for Suspect
Measures are currently being undertaken by the Mashtots Police Department to locate and apprehend H.B. Documents regarding the incident have been compiled by the Mashtots Police Department and transferred to the Ajapnyak and Davitashen administrative districts’ investigative department of the Yerevan City Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
